Mission: To present theatrical entertainment and provide students with educational experiences in all phases of dramatic production. |
Opening and closing our curtains since 1897, The Penn State Thespians have been providing the State College community with over 150 years of theatrical excellence. Founded by Dr. Fred Lewis Pattee and Dr. John H. Leete, we are proud to be the oldest continually active student organization on campus.
Our mission is to offer artists an outlet to express their lust for theatre. Many of us come from theatrical backgrounds wishing to continue our passion through the collegiate years and some of us are just starting to learn of the wonderful opportunities available through the stage. Whether you’re a veteran or a newbie, we welcome you with open arms! Our organization also joins the Penn State community through various service groups including the IFC/Panhellenic Dance MaraTHON (THON), the Centre County AIDS Project (MasquerAIDS), and we help to promote child literacy with Schlow Library (Children’s Show). |
